At the rate I’m going with journaling all my old projects in this blog…I’ll have enough content to keep this going for many, many years. I have so many years to catch up on and not enough hours to type. LOL I went away this weekend on a youth retreat and so I was on a technology hiatus. The awesome thing about it is the teenagers aren’t allowed to bring any electronics either, so you have a weekend free to just focus on God and fun. We’re talking about around 55 teenagers here. It really is incredible how much they relax and enjoy the time free from their phones and other technology. But, I digress.
This fun little project was a baby headband that I made for my youngest daughter who had just been born that November. I had made the elastic crocheted headband and a flower and a bow with snaps on them that could be interchanged onto the headband. It was a great idea in theory, but that was made with crochet thread and a tiny crochet hook and it felt like it took absolutely forever to stitch. Of course I was also caring for a 1-2 month old baby at the time, not to mention 3 other small children all under the age of 7, so that probably didn’t help the time factor any.
I thought for sure I’d make a ton of these in all the different colors for her, but I’m pretty sure this is the only set I ever made. Maybe I’ll find another set I forgot about as I go through all the old pictures, but this is the only one I remember making.
This is the final project of 2010. We’re moving along (albeit slowly), but at least we’ve journaled another year in the memory books.
