It was upon finding these pics of the kids that triggered my memory about Caleb’s first blanket and stuffed animal set. I never actually took pics of the dinosaur and blanket when I made them. I think I was a little embarrassed about both of them. It’s possible I made this dinosaur even before I made Matthew’s teddy bear for Valentines Day…there is no telling for sure since I didn’t document them. The dinosaur didn’t turn out as terrible as the blanket…but I could definitely do it better today if I were to make it again. The pics below are pics that I took YEARS later when I realized I had never taken any when I originally stitched it. I never went back and took pics of the blanket…that’s how embarrassing that turned out. LOL
This dinosaur pattern is found in that same book the teddy bear pattern came from.

Even though my son is now 16 (nearing closer to 17 than I want to think about)…he still has this dinosaur. Granted, it’s tucked far back in his closet where no one can see it, but I know it still exists somewhere in his room. He didn’t throw it away. He sure did love it when I made it for him though. Part of the reason we do what we do, right? For the joy our crafting brings to others. Especially those we love.
