After creating my very first flower fringe textured crochet scarf, I felt I needed to take it a step further. We find pattern after pattern for little girls. What about those little boys? What kind of winter accessory can we make for them? Without a doubt there are less patterns to choose for little boys than little girls. But what kind of scarf would a little boy love? As a result of asking myself these questions and more, the idea for the car fringe textured crochet scarf was born. This project is paired with the flower fringe textured crochet scarf pattern to give buyers both options. This post is the first of many scarves stitched with my own original design.

Car Fringe Textured Crochet Scarf Pattern Info:
It just so happens this pattern is a Stay@Home Stitchings original. It took many attempts for me to create the car, but I do love how it turned out. The image below is a link to a book on Amazon that I used to help me design the flower fringe scarf. If you would like the complete flower fringe textured crochet scarf pattern you can find the link to the pattern here.
Yarn used for the car fringe textured crochet scarf:
White: Red Heart Super saver white.
Pink: Lion Brand Pound of love in Denim. If you can’t find this yarn, have no fear. Undoubtedly any worsted weight yarn will work well for this project.
Another good substitute I found would be Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice or any worsted weight yarn..
Great yarn websites to check out would be: LoveCrafts, Lion Brand, Knitpicks/We Crochet and Knitcrate.
A good place to check out to see if you could find good yarn sales are the Lion Brand Website or the Create For Less website. Knit Picks also has a variety of worsted weight yarns to choose from that I will also share links for below that you could use to stitch this up as well. The list won’t be exhaustive, so make sure to check out their website yourself if you don’t find anything I’ve shared to be what you’re looking for. They definitely have a LOT more options than just what’s posted here.
What hooks and tools are needed to make this crochet project?
For this project I used U.S. Size I (5.5 mm) hook.
Something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. My favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.
I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 I also have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!
Make it even more fun and get the whole beginner crochet kit.
Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache
If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
Need a little more help?
In conclusion, that should be about all you need if you want to try this one out. If you feel like you might need a little extra assistance and want online classes to help you, check out the link below for Annie’s and Crafty websites. I take online classes often to improve and advance my skills. You can always learn something new!
I taught myself to knit and crochet through kits that I found at my local craft store, so there is always that option as well. I’ll share links to kits similar to what I used that you can also find on Amazon if you can’t find at your local craft store or can’t get to one soon.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help. If you are more interested in custom ordering one already made, you can contact me for that as well. I still sell the finished items. You can contact me here or find me in my Etsy shop: Stay@Home Stitchings
Happy Stitching!

To be sure we are living in a time right now where health is of the highest concern for many of us. That being said, I had the great opportunity to partner with Viva Naturals and try some of their incredible products. In fact, I have a several of their vitamins and supplements that I take every day. Even more, these particular vitamins and supplements were recommended to me by a friend of mine who is a nurse. I highly recommend checking out Viva Naturals and stocking up to start your journey to a healthier you!
