Crochet Baby Football Cocoon ~ March 22, 2014

Inevitably you are going to get tired of hearing me say the same things over and over. But it is worth mentioning again how much I love to receive custom orders with new ideas of items I haven’t made yet. This crochet baby football cocoon is a custom order that falls under that category. And talk about cuteness overload! Well, in fact, it would be cuter with the baby posing in the pic as well. But this was for a customer who was gifting it to someone else. Therefore pics of it being modeled by it’s recipient were a little hard to come by. LOL

Crochet Hooks and tools

For this project I used U.S. Size 6.0mm (J) and 6.5 mm(K) hooks

Furthermore, something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. Undoubtedly my favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.

I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 Additionally I have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!

Make it even more fun and get the whole beginner crochet kit.

Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache

If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. In fact I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
