In my opinion stuffed animals are much easier to make in crochet than knit. However, if I’m being honest, I haven’t really attempted a knit one because I’m more familiar with crochet. This crochet chubby puppy was a custom order request. To be sure I was excited about stitching it because it is so adorable!!

Crochet Hooks and tools
For this project I used U.S. Size 2.75mm (C) and 3.75 mm(F) hooks
Furthermore, something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. Undoubtedly my favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.
I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 Additionally I have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!
Make it even more fun and get the whole beginner crochet kit.
Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache
If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. In fact I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
