Crochet Turtle Shell and Hat Set ~ October 22, 2014

This Crochet Turtle Shell and Hat Set was another custom order through my Etsy shop. Are you starting to see why I absolutely LOVE when people contact me with a new idea?! I mean, come on. How cute is this set?! I really wouldn’t have had any reason to make this other than to list it and hopefully sell it in my Etsy shop. That isn’t always so successful, so it really makes my day when someone orders it. Then I know it has a purpose even as I stitch it.

Crochet Hooks and tools

For this project I used U.S. Size I (5.5 0 mm) hooks

Furthermore, something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. Undoubtedly my favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.

I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 Additionally I have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!

Make it even more fun and get the whole beginner crochet kit.

Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache

If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. In fact I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
