I can’t remember for sure but I think the pattern I may have used for this one was:

Pattern: Citrus Twist Dishcloth
⤵
I think the pattern for this one was taken off the Peaches N’ Cream yarn cone wrapper. I searched to see if I could find a link for it online, but I did not have any luck. ↙
Pattern: Circular Cloth with Swirls and Texture by Sandi Marshall
I’m pretty sure the link I found is the pattern I used, but it doesn’t look like it is available online any longer. Good thing I’m a packrat and I save things forever. I can’t believe I even remember the patterns I used over 9 years ago. That’s just crazy! ⤵
Pattern: Crochet Dish Sponge

At the time I stitched this set, it had been a few years since my first commission of crocheting my husband’s cousin a sweater. Here, however, is the second order I ever received and honestly the one that I remember sparking the beginning of Stay@Home Stitchings. In fact, funny thing is, if you go to my Stay@Home Stitchings Facebook page, the very first post I ever made was dated January 4, 2011. This was kind of the start of my hobby becoming more than just a hobby. I’m pretty sure starting the facebook page was probably a big help with that too. My hook (and later needles) haven’t stopped working yet….and I’m loving every minute of it!!
My friend Crystal absolutely loved homemade dishcloths and asked if I could make her a set in neutral colors. She really didn’t have a preference to size or texture or anything else, so it really was an open book as far as what patterns I wanted to use. I did my best above to link and reference what I remember to be the patterns I used, but honestly it was a VERY long time ago and some of the info may be incorrect. I did find that not all the patterns were available online. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t journal your projects until over 9 years later.
Homemade dishcloths and sponges truly are the best things to have for your kitchen. They are probably some of my top selling items in my shop….particularly my scrubbies stitched up with Scrubby yarn. I can’t seem to keep those in stock!!
I am grateful once again (and always) for friends and family who believe in me and who trust me to stitch them up beautiful things. It brings me great joy to be able to do what I do.
What do you think of homemade dischloths and sponges?
Love them or hate them?

Happy Stitching!!
