Granny Square Baby Blanket and Newsboy Hat ~ September 17, 2011

September 17, 2011

Looking back at a lot of the gift sets that I have made over the years, this one ranks pretty high as one of my favorites. This was a custom order and I absolutely loved how it turned out.  I was especially excited when I received the picture of it being used by it’s recipient. 😁💗
It took some digging, but I was bound and determined to find this pattern. I absolutely love it and I want to make it again. After much searching, I FOUND IT!! YAY!!
Baby Granny Three Ways I made version 1
This set also included a matching newsboy hat.

This pattern was created by Speckled Frog Crochet, which has now changed it’s name to Pretty Darn Adorable. I think the name of this pattern was the Nubby Newsboy Hat but it doesn’t look like it’s available for purchase any longer. 🙁 This was a great pattern and one that I used quite frequently. I don’t believe there is any point in linking the pattern as it would only lead to a page saying it has been discontinued.
One thing this has taught me over the last few months of backtracking and trying to document all the past projects that I have made is that I really need to do better about documenting the links to the patterns that I used, or at least writing down what they were. There have been a few that after coming across the pattern I would really love to make again and I won’t be able to because I can’t find the patterns now. Kind of a bummer, but I am so excited I was able to find this one.
Anyone thinking they might try this blanket pattern?
