Kelly K’s Crochet Bearded hat will wrap up my projects for 2015. Slow going catching up it feels like sometimes!! Some days I wonder if I’ll ever get to current day, especially with all the setbacks I’ve had with being able to post regularly. Maybe I’ll be more steady from now to the end of the year and get somewhere. Time will tell. For now, enjoy another bearded hat project. I really am going to stitch another one of these soon. They are just too cute!

Crochet Bearded Hat Pattern Info:
I did not notate which pattern I used and the web address is not on the pattern that I printed out years ago. However, there was a picture on the pattern which I found at the link I am sharing, so I am guessing this is the pattern I used. I do know it was a free pattern. So, if nothing else, hopefully this Crochet Bobble Beard Pattern I found will help you make something similar to what I made.
Yarn used for the Crochet Bearded Hat
The pattern lists the yarn Vanna Glamour, but I’m pretty sure I would have used Vanna’s Choice. Again, I did not write down all the details like I should have. Without a doubt you should be safe using just about any worsted weight yarn for this project.
A few good substitutes would be: Lion Brand , Red Heart Soft, Bernat Softee Baby and Caron Simply Soft, to name a few.
Great yarn websites to check out would be: LoveCrafts, Lion Brand, Knitpicks/We Crochet , and Mary Maxim.
Crochet Hooks and tools
For this project I used U.S. Size I (5.5 0 mm) hook.
Furthermore, something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. Undoubtedly my favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.
I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 Additionally I have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!
Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache
If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. In fact I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
