And last, but certainly not least, is this sweet, beautiful girl wearing the third hat in my little trilogy. Another sparkle purple newsboy hat.

I promise I did not forget about this little beauty. There has been a lot of hustle and bustle the last few weeks. With trying to get the new website set up and transferred over from the other one, this post just kept getting pushed off. It’s been driving me crazy not to be able to get this one posted. Naturally I wanted it closer to when I published the other 2.
It’s kind of crazy I was able to stitch all 3 hats within a few days of each other, but I couldn’t get these posts typed up and published that quickly. LOL I can definitely work my crochet hook a whole lot faster than I can work a computer. But, who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? My head was literally aching at the end of each day with all of the new information I was trying to cram into it. I think I am finally getting the hang of it all, though. So now I can get back on track with my “journaling” of all my past projects.
A little welcome…
For those that might just now be subscribing and tuning in to stayathomestitchings.com I want to welcome you. Additionally I’d like to fill you in on what is happening so it makes a little sense. A few months ago I realized that my stitching journey started LONG before I found Ravelry. Ravelry is when I had started tracking every project I made. Indeed I had pictures scattered all over my computer in various folders. For that reason, I wanted to compile every project in one central location.
I thought about backtracking on Ravelry and putting them there. However I also love cross-stitching and it’s a big part of what I do. Ravelry really isn’t geared for anything more than yarn related hobbies. Therefore it didn’t seem like that was going to be a good overall fit for what I needed. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Ravelry and it’s a great tool that I will still utilize. However, for the purpose of my walk down memory lane to journal all my past projects and moving ahead to journal all my current and future stitching projects, my little Stay@Home Stitchings blog seemed like the best place to do that.
Purple Sparkle Newsboy Hat Pattern Info:
So back to the hat on hand….this is the same Newsboy hat pattern that I used to stitch up the other hats. You will see over the course of the next few months that I made and still make this hat A LOT! It’s my all time most popular item. If you are interested in buying one, make sure to comment here or find me on Etsy in my Stay@Home Stitchings shop to custom order. You can also email me at mindy@stayathomestitchings.com . If you are interested in stitching up your own that is a little trickier, as I haven’t created a pattern for this exact hat.
What I do have to help you out is the pattern I used for the basic structure of this hat. It’s actually my Ninja Turtle Newsboy Hat Pattern, and you can find that on Ravelry or Etsy to order. You would need to substitute the Ninja Turtle stripe for the flower striping as you prefer it to look. The flower pattern is one I offer for free on this website. You can find that here:
Free 3 Layer Flower Pattern
The pattern is written to cover every size from newborn to large adult. This sweet girl is modeling my Child Size (3-10 Years): Head Circumference of 20-21”. It’s pictured in Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn in purple sparkle and snow. You can kind of see the glitter in the picture, but my old camera really didn’t do it justice. I do love this yarn as it’s extra soft even with having the glitter thread woven throughout. It’s most certainly a fan favorite with every little girl I have ever used it to make a hat for. 🙂
Summing it all up…
That pretty much brings this post up to date I think. Pictured below you will see the complete set of my little trilogy modeling their sparkly purple hats. I am grateful beyond words for the Lord to have blessed me beyond measure.
