Teagan’s Knit Monster Pants was a custom order request from my sister in law that I was able to make and gift to her for her first baby girl. There are just so many color combinations that can be done, so it’s always appreciated when I get a little help. There is no way to know what people would actually like, so I love when they just come out and ask for it directly. It makes it so much easier to make sure people get what they want.
My Stay@Home Stitchings Etsy shop still takes custom orders for these if you are interested. Additionally the pattern is available through the link below if you prefer to stitch them yourself. Thank you for your continued patience as I get all these projects documented!! Believe it or not, this is the last one for a while!

What yarn did I used for Teagan’s Knit Monster Pants?
After getting the pattern you’ll need good quality yarn. For this project I used:
Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby Solids Colorway Coral ~ Which is possibly discontinued now. I would definitely recommend the Cascade Yarns Cherub DK yarn or the Stylecraft Special DK in the Shrimp colorway as a great substitute
Stylecraft Special DK Colorway Camel
Stylecraft Special DK Colorway 1422 Aspen
Ordered from Loveknitting, now known as Lovecrafts
I designed this pattern using Knit Picks Brava Sport Yarn. You are welcome to replace it with another yarn of DK or Sport Weight. Others I have loved using are Baby Bernat, Cascade Yarns Cherub DK yarnand Simply Soft Caron. If you are planning on making this something that will stay in the family for years to come, make sure you use something that is good quality and will stand up over time.
What are the best needles and tools to use?
If you are unsure of what you should purchase, I definitely recommend doing your own research and read the reviews. Keep in mind that you are making an investment in your craft. For this reason you want to be sure you’ll be happy with them for a long time to come. So check out the linksto see what the Knit Picks needles are all about. I highly recommend them being included in your research.
In addition to this, I’m also including a few links to Amazon for some interchangeable sets that come with excellent reviews. To tell the truth, I believe interchangeable is one of the most economical ways to get started in knitting. These sets are versatile and can be used for just about any knitting project. In fact, you can even use them to knit in the round if you learn the magic loop!!
Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache
If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
Need a little more help?
In short, that should be about all you need if you want to try this one out. However, maybe you still feel like you might need a little extra assistance. That being the case you might want online classes to help you. If so, check out the links below for Craftsy or Annie’s. As a matter of fact, I take online classes often to improve and advance my skills. You can always learn something new! I actually taught myself to knit and crochet through “Teach myself” kits. In addition I’ll share a link for something very similar to what I purchased for myself below as well.
If you have any questions about the information in this post please just leave me a comment.
Happy Stitching!
