Adilynn’s Sparkle Purple Newsboy Flower Hat ~ October 11, 2011

October 11, 2011
I realize I may have gone a little camera happy with this hat, but with that adorable little face how could I not?!! This hat would become one of the most popular items that I would make…and still make now today 9 years later. It’s timeless.

I wish I could tell you that I have a pattern for this hat, but I don’t have an exact pattern for it. I created a boy version of it to crochet a Ninja Turtle type character, but just tweaked it to add the flower instead of the eyes and ties.

This is the link to the pattern that I used to structure the hat:
This is the link to the free flower pattern on my blog that I used to crochet the flower:

Pictured here is the 12 month size that I stitched. The pattern is written for 9 different sizes, ranging from newborn to large adult.  I used Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn in the colors Purple Sparkle and Snow. That is one of my favorite brands to use for little girls hats because they love the extra sparkle when they wear it. 🙂 And even though it has the sparkle thread woven throughout, it’s actually super soft as well.

In the days ahead you will see that I made each of my 3 girls matching hats. The pics below are a quick preview of what is to come. 🙂

Do you have a favorite pattern that you have made over and over again? What is it? Please share pictures and details if you have them. 🙂
