Adult Medium Sized Knit Purple Bat Hat ~ September 12, 2015

Now we move on to the adult medium sized knit purple bat hat. Once again I switched the colors up to show the versality of this pattern. This was also the other size I mentioned that might work for the “one size fits all” category. Although, we all know that one size truly doesn’t fit all. But if you were going to try and pick a size that would fit into that one size category, you would need to choose either this option, or the previous one,, the small adult size. Either of those hats should fit the majority of people well enough, although maybe not perfectly. Like I mentioned before, the average human head after you reach puberty is around 21″.

What yarn did I used for this Adult Medium Sized Knit Purple Bat Hat?

Even though you are used to me saying I used Lion Brands Wool Ease for the main color or even Vanna’s Choice, that was not the case this time. While I love those 2 yarns a lot, I do not think that is the brand I used for this project. Sadly, I did not write down what I used excactly. I seemed to remember this being a Caron yarn, but I do not believe it is available still. So, I’d likely reference you to one of the first 2 brands of yarn anyway. Ha ha.

Other good yarn choices I would recommend to use to make this would be Lion Brands Pound of Love, Caron simply soft and Red Heart Soft. Places to yarn shop for these brands would be Amazon , Lion Brand and Create For Less websites.

What are the best needles and tools to use?

If you are unsure of what you should purchase, I definitely recommend doing your own research and read the reviews. Keep in mind that you are making an investment in your craft. For this reason you want to be sure you’ll be happy with them for a long time to come. So check out the linksto see what the Knit Picks needles are all about. I highly recommend them being included in your research.

In addition to this, I’m also including a few links to Amazon for some interchangeable sets that come with excellent reviews. To tell the truth, I believe interchangeable is one of the most economical ways to get started in knitting. These sets are versatile and can be used for just about any knitting project. In fact, you can even use them to knit in the round if you learn the magic loop!!

Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache

If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. I’ll include a few links for you to check out.

Need a little more help?

In short, that should be about all you need if you want to try this one out. However, maybe you still feel like you might need a little extra assistance. That being the case you might want online classes to help you. If so, check out the links below for Craftsy or Annie’s. As a matter of fact, I take online classes often to improve and advance my skills. You can always learn something new! I actually taught myself to knit and crochet through “Teach myself” kits. In addition I’ll share a link for something very similar to what I purchased for myself below as well.
