Crochet Flyby Coffee Cup Cozies x 9 ~ April 10, 2014

If you follow along, you will have seen my post a few days back regarding the coffee cup cozies I made for my children’s school. After seeing me posts pics about that, my brother and his wife contacted me about making special ones for them. Thus the post today for the crochet flyby coffee cup cozies x 9! I made them a bunch so they had a variety to choose from. However instead of dragging it out for days on end, I’m just putting them all in one post.

To clarify a little more I will need to brag on my brother and his wife a little. They decided to take a leap and start their own little drive thru coffee shop in Panama City, Florida. They do an awesome job at making awesome coffee and treating their customers above and beyond. From time to time they carry their own merchandise and decided to use my coffee cup cozies as one of those items they offered. Thus the reason for my post today. 😁

Crochet Cup Cozy Pattern Info:

15 min Coffee Sleeve by Jonna Ventura is the pattern I used for the previous post. Without a doubt, looking at the pics, I used more than just this pattern to make this set of coffee cozies. However the only one I have notated is this one. Sorry!

Yarn used

Hobby Lobby: I love this yarn: Navy colorway
White and Burgundy: Red Heart Super Saver

A few good substitutes would be: Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice , Red Heart Soft, Bernat Softee Baby and Caron Simply Soft, to name a few.

Great yarn websites to check out would be: LoveCrafts, Lion Brand, Knitpicks/We Crochet , Mary Maxim and Knitcrate.

Sale valid 5/4/22-5/8/22

Crochet Hooks and tools

For this project I used U.S. Size 5.0mm (H)

Furthermore, something else that comes in handy if you decide you’d like to stitch these sets up for yourself is a good set of crochet hooks. Undoubtedly my favorite brand to use are the Knit Picks brand.

I also have a cute little set from Amazon that I love too. You can buy this one fairly inexpensively and it comes with some tools and notions that will be helpful too. Several buying options to choose from and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 🙂 Additionally I have the light up set pictured below. I love that it’s rechargeable!

Make it even more fun and get the whole beginner crochet kit.

Additional Tools for when your wrists and/or hands ache

If you are like me and you knit and crochet a lot, something that I have found is useful at times is a pair of stress relief gloves. I own a few different kinds, but I do think any of them is better than not using anything at all if your hands and wrists are bothering you. In fact I’ll include a few links for you to check out.
