It’s time to meet my models. I’m a Stay@Home Mama of 4 amazing kiddos. They are pretty much my inspiration for most projects that I do.
Meet my models: Caleb
Caleb is the oldest of the 4, and the only boy. He’s an awesome big, protective brother of all 3 of his little sisters. He may pick on them and harass them from time to time, but he better not catch anyone else doing it. :o) The kind of big brother every mama hopes to have for younger sisters. He has a heart of gold but I don’t think he likes people to know it. He’d give you the shirt off his back. He is extremely loyal and faithful for someone so young.
Caleb is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. He’s scary smart and he LOVES to read. He loves books of all kinds….even non fiction books he reads to gain numerous facts about any and everything. He of course loves to play sports–Mainly soccer, baseball, basketball—and he’s gotten quite good over the last few years. He’s a true video gamer at heart. My guess is he’d live down in our basement with the Wii on 24 hours a day if we’d let him. I don’t know if he’d even come up to eat….I don’t think I want to test out my theory. :o)
Caleb is a bit of a designer himself. This is a picture of the hat he drew to let me know exactly how he wanted the hat he wanted me to make for him. This wasn’t a subtle hint at all. :0)
Meet my models: Maylie
Then we have Maylie. She is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade this year. She is sugar and spice and everything nice. All the girls are, really, but they probably learn it from her. She is caring and kind and always thinking of others. Maylie is probably our best listener and we can depend on her to always (well…almost always) do what she’s been asked to do. She HATES to get in trouble, so she does what she has to do to avoid it at all costs. :) I know I’m biased, but she really is beautiful inside and out.
Maylie loves to dance and sing….or pretty much anything that involves performance. This girl has incredible confidence in herself and loves to be at the center of attention. She’s gotten to be quite the little soccer player this year too. She definitely never ceases to amaze us at the young lady she’s growing to be.
Meet my models: Brinley
Brinley comes in next. She is 4, going to turn 5 in 2 days, and in her last year of preschool. (This Stay@Home Mama does NOT know what she’s going to do when one more heads off to kindergarten). She’s our feisty one, but lately has been showing a much more sensitive and reserved side, so only time will tell which side of the coin she will fall on. Additionally, she’s definitely our nervous one. New situations make her a little timid and it takes a bit to come out of her shell, but WATCH OUT when she does. :o)
Brinley is funny and sweet and BUBBLY!! Her personality is contagious and you cannot help but smile when you are in the same room with her. Just her sweet little voice and her outlook on life is enough to have you fill with pure joy. She is always full of energy and ready for anything. If she was fearless we might be in trouble. :o) Another beauty through and through.
Meet my models: Adilynn
And finally our caboose, Adilynn. She is 2 years old, about to turn 3 before her Mama is ready for it. Where does the time go? This is my BABY!! How can she be inching so close to preschool already?! I think right now she might be our comedian…it’s hard to tell. But boy is she funny. You can’t help listen to her talk or watch her play and LOL! She LOVES to tease anyone she knows she will get a rise out of. And she is SMART. She can get your number and you don’t even see it coming because you don’t expect someone so little to be so quick.
But if Adilynn is not teasing, she is singing…always, constantly, loudly, softly….about anything and EVERYTHING. She sings from the time she opens her eyes in the morning until she falls asleep at night…almost literally. She wakes up humming and she hums herself to sleep. If there is a song on the radio, she will be singing along with it. If we are at home hanging out, she will bust out in a song about anything she’s doing at the moment and dance and perform her little heart out. All I have to say is…. AMERICAN IDOL WATCH OUT!!! This girl is a STAR!!
One little paragraph isn’t nearly enough for this Stay@Home Mama to begin to encompass all that is my life. These 4 little people are my heart and soul. My every waking moment, my every breathe. I wake up thinking of them and most often fall asleep at night praying for them. They are incredible gifts from God. Their hearts grow more for Him every day and I count my blessings. They are beyond measure and I am grateful for this life He has given me…..
And of course it helps to have such good looking kids to model all my knit and crocheted items. :0)
