Another Blue and Brown Braided Earflap Hat ~ October 3, 2011

October 3, 2011
We have finally made it to the month of October in the year 2011. It has been so fun, and convicting, to see how productive I was back then. How in the world did I find so much time to stitch? It seems like these days it takes me weeks to finish one project, no matter how easy or hard. Well…actually if it’s hard or a big project, I can expect it to take months and not weeks. The kids keep me running,  which I would not change for a second.  But if you had asked me when they were little, I would have thought these would be the years I had more time to stitch…not then. LOL  It is very rewarding to see them thriving and being involved in the things they love, so I just stitch when I can and soak up all the time I can get with my favorite humans. πŸ™‚
This hat probably looks like a repeat to you, and it is. It’s an exact copy of the one I posted a few posts back. It isn’t just another picture of the same hat I did before, it’s a whole new hat. Ha ha. That happens a lot. I’ll make one item and other people will see it and love it and want one exactly the same. You will often see over the course of however long it takes me to catch up to present time, that there are many projects that I stitched over and over and over again in exactly the same colors and sizes that I had previously done. It might start to get boring at times, but I can’t truly journal and track my stitch history if I cheat and skip things just because they are the exact same as things I had done before.
For anyone just starting to read and follow now, I’ve got pictures and patterns all over the place of all the projects I have made since I started stitching. I realized that I would like to have all these projects and pictures in one central place. I had started notating and logging projects in 2012 through Ravelry, but as you can see I started stitching many years before that. All the projects I had stitched prior to that time were never logged or journaled anywhere. I wanted to document these things as well, so I decided to start using this blog as a place to journal all my stitching activity. I do hope to catch up to present day at some time so that I can start blogging about my current projects as I’m doing them. Share the latest techniques and tips and tricks as I’m learning them too. We will get there…I promise. For now…I’m just loading these up one past project a day.
In the meantime….what are you working on?
