This was a custom order for a pom pom earflap hat in hot pink. I recently talked to the person that ordered this hat and she says that they still have it all these years later!! They were ordering a new hat from me and we got to talking about the first order that they had placed with me so long ago. I always love to hear when people not only love what they order, but they get so many years of use out of it.

There is no pattern for this hat specifically as it was a custom order that the customer came up with. I just went by what she wanted. I pieced together a few different patterns that had design elements I liked and created what it was she was looking for.
What is the longest you have ever kept something you made? What kind of yarn did you use to make it? If I remember correctly, this was a Caron brand yarn that I used to make this hat. I have to say that is a good advertisement of the yarn to know a hat has lasted over 8 years in upstate NY!
